Pinewood Derby

The boys competed in the Cub Scouts' Pinewood Derby today. Braeden won overall for his pack, Dave won among the adult friends and family, and Thane was third among the children. Dave and Braeden also got "best shape" while Thane got "most aerodynamic."

One thing that is really cool this year is that Braeden, almost 9, really did most of the work on his car for the first time. He did all the sanding, painting, and even used a grinder on the axles. He was surprised to win, which also makes it nice.
