"Me, Thane!" Oh WOW! I know you've been waiting to hear that for a long time. Way to go Thaney! Totally worth putting the camera in peril for. :)

You know, I think that I'd liken this to dealing with IF for so long before having a child. All that waiting and not knowing for certain makes you slower to take these things for granted and makes the successes all the more sweeter.

I thought it would be nice to have a change -- and this template kind of goes with the summer photos.

I think you're right -- there are aspects very similar to going through infertility. It can be hard to know what to expect so you look at everything more carefully. It does make the successes sweeter. This is something we worked on for months with social stories, games, etc. It's also one of those times where it seems like our efforts at home payoff more than all those therapists!

Just now, Thane was sitting in an office chair with Braeden playing a computer game. He just woke up and he really wakes up sleepy-headed, with hair standing on end. Anyway, he sneezed and Braeden screamed because he got the spray. Thane laughed! After the first couple of real sneezes, Thane sat there saying “ahhhh choooo” to get Braeden to scream again . . . and laughed after each cooperative exclamation from the older child. Braeden laughed and said “I know you’re faking, but you’re so cute!”

Wow! That is such a happy little clip I watched it over and over. I know you worked hard and waited to hear him make this step. And to catch it on camera!! What luck!
I love your new look, your artistic style really shows.
I look at all your pictures and think what wonderful memories your boys are going to have of growing up in Maine :)
